Dance Academy
This Academy Program is designed for students with a keen interest in and aptitude for Dance as a strand of the Performing Arts. Our vision is to holistically develop each Dancer, nurturing personal growth and technical development, alongside a team culture. The Dance Academy prepares students to live a life of choice through the development of 21st century skills that make them industry ready and employable for a career in the Dance and Performing Arts world. Each year level within the Dance academy is underpinned by one of the following character strengths (Courage, Creativity, Teamwork and Leadership), designed to enhance students’ Dance education and training in conjunction with their physical, social and emotional development.
The Dance Academy program will provide opportunities for students to work with experts in the field through established partnerships between professional organisations and our college. Making links between these opportunities and their learning, students will be prepared to develop performances to an industry standard and perform at local community events and competitions.

Eligibility criteria
Audition Process - I will partake in a physical dance audition.
Rehearsals - I will commit to attending all scheduled rehearsals (outside of school hours and during lunch breaks).
Eisteddfods - I will commit to participating in all eisteddfods.
