iXL@Esports Program
Esports in Education isn't just playing games. Esports in an Education context allows students to learn to play games in a safe and healthy manner.
Research shows that 36% of teenagers play video games regularly. The Esports Academy will allow students to play games and attain skills to manage their well-being, ensuring they are playing games safely.
Students are taught how to work together to build a team-oriented mindset, build resilience, how to balance screen time, what healthy electronic gaming looks like, and how to manage sleep and gaming. The aim is to teach students to maintain their health and well-being, whilst still playing games.
Some of the most notable positive effects of gaming include:
- Improved cognitive abilities
- Improved problem-solving skills and logic
- Increased hand-to-eye coordination
- Greater multi-tasking ability
- Faster and more accurate decision-making
- Enhanced prosocial behaviours
- Better eyesight (attention to detail)
Our Academy is run in a high-quality gaming facility including:

- A range of games to support skill progression
- Game capture, recording and casting capability
